Steamring 75 m

Designing the past in the present

With the design of a mega yacht alluding to the steampunk aesthetics of the 19th century Baranakalin has presented a distinctive project to the world of yachts. It seems as if the future was found in the past, through a 75-metre concept. Baran Akalin and Fany By Dada were responsible for the project, which, thanks to its creative character, was awarded the Interior Design Concept Yacht prize at The International Yacht and Aviation Awards in Venice.
The interior of the Steamring 75 m manages to surprise in equal measure. Designed to provide moments of conviviality, it incorporates an indoor pool, jacuzzi, large terraces and dining areas. A poker table, bar area and dance floor are also included. This is a model with many details that challenges the concept of modernity.
All indications are that the prototype will be powered by a pair of 4000 hp diesel engines, generating a top speed of 24 knots. If it comes to fruition, it will certainly be right to say full steam ahead.
