When the Space Copenhagen office was commissioned to design the interior of the 11 Howard hotel in Manhattan’s SoHo, co-founders Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou wanted to create unique bespoke lighting inspired by the industrial atmosphere of New York City. So, the studio turned to long-time collaborator GUBI to develop the Howard Collection concept, which includes chandeliers, hanging lamps and a wall lamp. The hotel ended up shortlisted in five categories of the prestigious AHEAD Hospitality Awards and won the award for Best Hotel Renovation and Restoration 2019.
