How we experience our house has been undergoing great changes, in a growing movement of introspection, like an incubated chrysalis about to emerge, beautiful and resplendent! From one moment to the next, the need arose to make our house more ours, as if we wanted to adopt a nest where we feel comfortable. At Love Tiles we have been following this trend by bringing this feeling of sensorial comfort to ceramics. The finishes are no longer glossy, becoming more nuanced and with more natural and textured surfaces, which create emotions to the touch. We find this pleasant rusticity in sanded cements, in timeless stones with marks of nature and time, or in the fine texture of wood.
Neutrals, which have reigned supreme for their elegance in recent years, are making room for more personality, whether in materials, such as exuberant marbles, or in more decorative elements, making room for colour! We still can’t talk about bright colours (despite the current revival of the Italian group Memphis), however, there is an openess to a wide range of shades, ranging from pinks to blues and greens. All these colours have a very strong inspiration in nature, they are not synthesised colours. In warm colours we have variations from the more discreet pastel shades of nude and clay, to assuming terracotta. Nude, raw colours that thrill us with their veracity! The exotic nature of greens continues to invade the interiors of our homes, with variations of deep greens from contemporary urban jungles to an elegant olive or sage, much more discreet, but with no less identity. The blues, from peacock to deep navy, have already entered our homes without asking for permission! They are pure, intense and eternal blues.
It is not only in terms of visuals and touch that we can create these sensations of home and of a safe place where we feel protected. Technologically too, we prepare our products with an antibacterial silver ion finish that continuously protects us. Although we are not experiencing a phase of great kinetic energy, we can see an accumulation of potential energy in this movement. Basically, we are not standing still, we are in transformation, in search of our identity and our comfort according to our experiences. Love Tiles is accompanying this metamorphosis.
