Social and environmental responsibility

Leonor Picão

Pierre Fabre Marketing Manager

Leonor Picão
Since the creation of Pierre Fabre Laboratories 60 years ago, our focus has been on research and innovation inspired by nature. We are committed to sustainable and responsible innovation, designing effective and safe products with the smallest possible environmental footprint for the benefit of nature and people. This is the commitment of Green Mission, our sustainable development policy. One of its goals is eco-socio-design. This is how the Green Impact Index came into being, an eco-socio-responsibility rating method that we use to ensure continuous improvement. We assign an overall score to each product, with one third of the score coming from social criteria and the other two thirds from environmental criteria. The index evaluates a total of 20 criteria covering the environmental and social impact of our products. We inform consumers about the compliance of the products they buy with the RSA criteria and respond to the ever-increasing desire for transparency in order to enable responsible and informed expenditure.
The actions of the Group and the Pierre Fabre Foundation help to meet 16 of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. However, it is not only the Group and its brands that reflect these social and environmental commitments, because each Pierre Fabre employee also embodies these commitments every day. We also promote Green Mission Day, a volunteer day for employees to contribute to a sustainability action. We encourage a "green” dynamic at all levels of the company.
Our mission is to contribute towards improving respect for nature and human beings. Our mission is green.
