Park your aircraft in the garage

AIR, an Israel-based aviation start-up, recently launched a two-person electric aircraft called AIR ONE, designed for leisure use. Created to be a practical, "buy-and-fly” machine, you don’t need to rent a hangar to park it as the wings are foldable and you can perfectly park it in your garage, taking up just one parking space. In other words, the idea is that you make it your daily transporter. But let’s get to its specific features. The AIR ONE features a fixed-wing design and is powered by eight rotors on two sets of pods, positioned at the front and rear of the aircraft. The cabin opens like a shell so that it can accommodate two people, both with access to the controls of this eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing). The glass structure gives you the view you need to see what you are flying over.
The company says the craft will be capable of reaching speeds of up to 155 miles per hour and has a flight range of 110 miles. And it is also known that the AIR ONE will have a "fly by intent” control system, which will make piloting easy and accessible, although this does not mean you don’t need a licence to take over its controls. There will also be an Artificial Intelligence monitoring system that will carry out "frequent inspections” of the machine to ensure it is safe to fly.
Fun, isn’t it? But there are still some hurdles to overcome. The main one is Federal Aviation Administration certification, which the company is still striving to obtain. Regardless of this, you can already pre-order one of these little planes on the AIR website.
