MINI Electric Cooper SE

Mini in size, huge in difference

Brooklyn, New York, December 10, 2019. The story is written in colour and breathes fresh air. It starts at Mini’s A / D / O – an interdisciplinary public space in Greenpoint, which is home to a vast network of designers and creative minds. The celebrations featured several attractions and several motives. It began with the (early) commemoration of the March 2020 launch of the MINI Electric Cooper SE. The profile, not being new, is nice to remember. It’s an irreverent and daring car, but with the same dynamic as ever. No emissions and no fuel consumption (100% electric). Total power of 135 kW/184 HP. Range varying between 235 to 270 kilometres. Designed and desired in line with the new era and people who demand more from the future.
Which brings us to the second point of this journey. Without losing the focus of its essence, Mini has shown that it is attentive to and cares about the future of life and urban mobility. With this in mind, it has set in motion a series of initiatives that exceptionally reflect the renewed and conscious spirit of the brand. It has opened, in New York, the new facilities that are the heart of innovation and design of the brand, the A / D / O, open to the public, particularly for work and exhibitions. In addition to this, it has taken in startups from all over the world, with identical and revolutionary ideals, and has made a way of being in life take off, in the form of a building, the Mini Living - which will be opened in Shanghai, in the city’s oldest paint factory, in April 2020. A kind of nest of companies supported by the brand, with visionary concepts, charged with coming up with ideas that improve the quality of life in our cities. It will extend over six buildings. It will have 40 apartments, communal and shared work areas, culinary outlets, design concept stores, as well as a dynamic cultural scene bearing the seal of A / D / O. And, of course, the new Minis parked at the door. The design was created by architecture and interior design company Universal Design Studio, and leaves a message: let’s change the world from here.

The launch of the MINI Electric Cooper SE is scheduled for March 2020
