Flying Taxi to start tests this year

Stephen Fitzpatrick, president of Vertical Aerospace, said he is close to consolidating his plan to launch a zero-carbon flying taxi, capable of carrying four passengers for a distance of up to around 200 kilometres, within this decade. The company has investors such as American Airlines, Avolon, Honeywell, Rolls-Royce and Microsoft. Vertical’s flights from Heathrow airport to London will take 15 minutes and cost £50 (about 58 Euros) per passenger. The flying taxi will be called VA-X4 and will begin test flights this year.
