In a shop in the centre of Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, mother and daughter purvey t-shirts printed with patriotic symbols, a trend that has been growing since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. One of the t-shirts, created by local brand J.Cook, shows an image of a dog dressed in a bulletproof vest and sunglasses. "We have several like that,” Tatiana says, referring to Patron, a mascot decorated in May by Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky for his ability to find landmines. According to J.Cook creator Sergeyi Fiut, these t-shirts are currently "the most popular” of the brand.
