Powerbarn

Camouflage landscape designed

Considered a virtuous example of the coexistence between the industrial and the agricultural world, Powerbarn is a recently finished bioenergy power plant in Russi, Italy, designed by Giovanni Vaccarini Architetti. The surrounding landscape features light natural ripples and rural paths and the building does not harm the landscape, as the imposing structure is disguised by a wooden cladding. In the past, this industrial property belonged to the sugar company Eridania. Today, it is a bioenergy power plant that produces electricity from renewable sources, even if it looks like just another agricultural area.
