Villa GK

Contemporary language

Stood within the prestigious Vale do Lobo resort, in the Algarve, this villa was designed by the Arqui + architecture firm, which focused on a modern, contemporary language, while always taking respect for the location into account, in addition to ecological concepts, such as the use of regional stone, vertical gardens and solar protection systems. Building solutions sought to adapt the villa to the terrain, overcoming its morphology through split levels in the very volumetry of the building. The result is a villa with total privacy on the side of the road and the house’s entrance, but which opens up fully to the magnificent golf and sea views on the other side, providing the residents with the very best of what the Algarve has to offer. The large, panoramic windows, so characteristic of architect Vasco Vieira, create a bidirectional relationship between indoors and out, influencing the design of the façades and creating an effect that is not only visual, but also functional. The various areas, distributed over three floors, two floors above ground level and one below, clearly mark the social area from the private area of the dwelling. Another element that is so characteristic of architect Vasco Vieira is the impressive suspended swimming pool, which features a waterfall all around it. In the interiors, also developed by Arqui +, focus was placed on brands of great renown, such as Minotti, BYB Italia, Vibia, Gessi, Tapeçarias Ferreira de Sá, among others, which also contribute to increasing the value of the project and in turn, to the development of the resort.
