Four Eyes House

Four towers, four looks

Located in California, USA, in a desert region, Four Eyes House owes its name to the fantastic views it provides. To take advantage of this factor, the architects from Edward Ogosta Architecture practice used an unusual solution: each of the rooms was positioned in towers and were given openings that highlight an element in the landscape. One has a large opening facing the sunrise; the second faces the mountains to the south; the third enables the view of the city lights in the distance; and the fourth has an opening in the ceiling, to gaze at the star-filled sky. As they are in independent towers, the rooms enjoy a great deal of privacy, while the social area, on the ground floor, has no internal divisions and boasts wide openings out to the landscape.
