Ambientec reissues Samba-M, the light-filled glass bowl by Shiro Kuramata. A specialist in elegant and portable lamps, he has once again used his technological skills to produce this fascinating object of art. This piece was produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of Shiro Kuramata, one of the most important designers of the 20th century. The inspiration for this piece was a wine glass, a common object found in every home. The original idea for the Samba-M piece came about in 1988, when Kuramata surprised guests by placing a bright red light in his champagne glass.
