Two Portuguese chairs on display at the Vitra Design Museum

Daciano da Costa has entered the permanent collection of the museum

Daciano da Costa (1930-2005) has entered the permanent collection of the Vitra Design Museum, one of the world’s leading design museums. The designer is the first Portuguese to join in the collection of the renowned institution with headquarters in the German city of Weil am Rhein. Daciano da Costa will be represented with two models selected by the Vitra Design Museum, which are now key objects in the history of design: the Quadratura Chair (1971) and the Alvor Hotel Chair (1967). The latter piece, designed for the Algarve hotel institution, will also feature in the brand’s poster for this year.
