The Lince Santa Clara dressed by Micaela Oliveira

Uniforms with identity

The new The Lince Santa Clara Historic Hotel in Vila do Conde invited fashion designer Micaela Oliveira to design the hotel’s staff uniforms. The development of the design concept took into consideration the location and history of the building, without neglecting sustainability.
It opened on March 22 with many new developments. The facilities and services have made it an epitome of luxury and attention to detail is evident in the staff uniforms detailing, designed by the renowned Micaela Oliveira. Each piece has been tailor-made using resistant fabrics that are easy to maintain. The colours are in keeping with the identity of The Lince Hotels chain and the design is a nod to the 700-year history of the place, which for centuries was known as the Monastery of Santa Clara. History was combined with contemporaneity and recyclable fabrics were chosen to fulfil the commitment to the environment. The designer also sought to create a lightweight uniform, without compromising on the comfort so necessary for carrying out the various tasks. Everything was "meticulously thought out, from the inclusion of buttons, which become elegant accessories, to the application of embroidery, which adds a touch of style and elegance to the garments, making each uniform unique”, says the designer, confident that in each garment she has managed to stitch together the strong values and identity of a group that is already firmly established in the market.
