Shelter on a Rock

Perfect balance

The symbiosis between the house, the topography and the daring design enticed the client, a couple who love nature and contemporary art. Thus, architect Paul Faucher, inspired by the work of modernist architect Richard Neutra, and realising that the clients had adopted a rock mound, on which to set up their base camp, created a project characterised by the striking balance between the landscape and the built volume, by the flow of interior and exterior spaces and by the creative use of a double floor. Voluntarily minimalistic, the layout allows the environment to be in the forefront, penetrating all interior spaces.
