Mylla Hytte Cabin

Living Nature

Located in a forest near Oslo, Norway, Mylla Hytte is a compact cabin designed by the Mork-Ulnes Architects studio. The intentions of the client, an American couple with two children, who had come to reside in Oslo, included the need to have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sauna and an annex to store ski equipment and bicycles. Mylla Hytte is a reinterpretation of traditional Hytter (Norwegian cabins), with 84 sqm, the aim for which was to be open to the landscape, while at the same time private. Two protected outdoor spaces, pine board cladding, a compact interior, but able to accommodate up to ten people and custom furniture are some of the features of this hideaway in the forest.
