Contemporary brushstrokes

Starting from a façade built in 1955, Trípólí Architects studio has created a house with contemporary features in a surrounding area of 255 sqm. Located in Reykjavik, Iceland, the residence is the result of a renovation and extension process, in which an ideal environment for family living was created. The façade of the building was designed in such a way as to preserve its original state, and only suffered alterations that were necessary for the extension of the residential space. With modern brushstrokes, here and there, the result varied between the harmony of black and white walls, which, in essence, represent the architectural elegance of different centuries.
