56 Leonard Street

Stacked houses that twinkle in the sky

56 Leonard Street is a 250-m high skyscraper located in Manhattan, New York, United States. Designed by Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron, it has 57 floors and is an unusual skyscraper to say the least, in a layout reminiscent of the game Jenga, resembling a series of houses stacked in a spectacular balancing act up towards the sky. This building is located in the famous Tribeca neighbourhood, known to be home to countless celebrities and multimillionaires. Defined as a "vertical glass expression of sculpted surfaces, cantilevers and sparkling glass” on the official website, 56 Leonard Street is indeed a stunning building, capable of drawing the most pronounced endorsements of admiration, as this is undoubtedly a work of bold and challenging architecture.
